Plan ahead if your Saturday travels take you to Seattle, which plays host to four major events that day.
The folks at WSDOT advise drivers to leave early, consider public transportation, biking or carpooling, and in general plan ahead and be safe.
Events that together are sure to draw some black lines on the DOT maps:
CenturyLink Field, where the Sounders meet Chivas USA at 1 p.m.
Husky Stadium, as the undefeated Washington football team meets No. 16 Stanford at 1:15 p.m.
Safeco Field, when the Mariners play one of their last games of the regular season at 6:10 p.m. against the Los Angeles Angels
KeyArena, which will rock to the hits of Sir Elton John, who performs at 8 p.m.
Drivers can get real-time traffic information on their phone with the WSDOT traffic app, by tracking the WSDOT traffic Twitter feed, and get advanced information from the What’s Happening Now page.
