MONROE — An 84-year-old woman walking across Main Street in Monroe was seriously injured when she struck by a Community Transit bus Thursday night.
The accident occurred in the 700 block as she was crossing over to Frank Wagner Auditorium for a performance.
She was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.
The injuries were considered life threatening, Monroe Police Department spokeswoman Debbie Willis said.
The accident occurred shortly before 7:30 p.m. The bus was headed west and the woman was hit in the westbound lane.
She rolled under a parked minivan after she was hit, Willis said.
