LYNNWOOD — A 26-year-old Lynnwood man was arrested Wednesday morning after a pursuit from Lynnwood to Everett.
The chase began about 9 a.m. near the 15500 block of 18th Avenue W., Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
A sheriff’s lieutenant saw the man texting while driving and attempted to pull him over, Ireton said.
The man reportedly sped off onto Ash Way and ran several stop signs.
The chase wound onto Casino Road, where a spike strip was used to disable the stolen car the man was driving.
He abandoned the car along Upper Ridge Road and ran away but was caught. The incident wrapped up within about 10 minutes, Ireton said.
The man is expected to be booked for investigation of eluding police and for a warrant from Skagit County. No injuries were reported.
