Boeing could have a new market for its P-8

Boeing might have a new customer for its P-8 anti-submarine airplane, which is based on the 737 and built in Renton. The U.S. State Department has approved sales to Vietnam, our onetime enemy.

Vietnam and China both have territorial claims to islands in the South China Sea, so the enemy of our enemy is our friend.

The State Department is allowing military sales for maritime defense, which could include an airplane such as the P-8, reports Defense News.
