EVERETT — An armed confrontation over a debt led to one man being taken into custody for investigation of assault in Everett Thursday night.
Police were called to a home in the 1000 block of Maple Street around 5: 30 p.m. after receiving a report of the altercation involving weapons, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said.
The homeowner told police that the man who came to collect the debt pulled out a knife and also took a handgun from him, Snell said. He was was able to get out of the house and call 911.
The homeowner told police he thought the suspect was still inside his house, which officers surrounded. Commands were given for the man to come out and a robot was used to look inside the home.
It turned out he had already left.
Police in Marysville found the suspect. He was expected to be booked into the Snohomish County Jail, Snell said
