EDMONDS — A 19-year-old Edmonds man was arrested Wednesday after firing a rifle into the air in the 9300 block of 216th Street SW.
Several people called 911 about the young man shortly after noon, Edmonds police Sgt. Mark Marsh said. The area was evacuated while police investigated.
The man was found in his back yard with two rifles, Marsh said. He complied with officers’ orders and was taken into custody.
No injuries were reported.
The investigation is continuing. The man remains in custody.
“Charges will be determined after the suspect and witnesses are interviewed,” Marsh said.
