New partner for Moss Adams in Everett
Moss Adams, one of the largest accounting and business consulting firms in the nation, announced the admittance of 10 new partners. Locally, Star Fischer was named a partner in the Everett office. Fischer provides research and development tax services, particularly for middle-market companies. The partnerships became effective Oct. 1.
Prime Pacific raises funds
Prime Pacific Financial Services, the holding company of Prime Pacific Bank with branches in Lynnwood, Kenmore and Mill Creek, reported that they have successfully raised $4.2 million on a private placement offering. The funds were used to retire a $5MM Trust Preferred Debt at a discount and inject $700,000 into Prime Pacific Bank as capital.
Stanwood moving company fined
State regulators have ordered a Stanwood-based moving company to pay a $2,900 penalty for violating state driver safety requirements. The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission penalized Heidi Bergman of Alice the Mover for using a driver that had not been medically examined and certified. A UTC motor carrier inspector conducted a compliance review in August and found 29 violations of the state driver safety rule.
Providence to host end-of-life planning sessions

The Everett Animal Shelter is offering special fall prices for cats and kittens from now through the end of October. Kittens, six months and younger, can be adopted for $75, and adult cats that are 1 year or older can be adopted for just $25.
