VANCOUVER, Wash. — A 24-year-old Vancouver man accused of killing his newborn son because the infant was fussy appeared in court Monday and was ordered held on $750,000 bail for investigation of murder.
The Columbian reports David M. Redmond is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Clark County Superior Court.
Prosecutors say he threw his 1-month-old son on a changing table last Wednesday, and the child became unresponsive that night. Court papers say the baby died of a brain injury at Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland.
