PORT ANGELES — A 67-foot yacht that sank Friday off Dungeness Spit near Sequim (skwim) did not spill any of the 700 gallons of diesel on board.
The wooden Lady A remained at the surface, decks awash. It was salvaged over the weekend and towed to Port Angeles.
The salvagers told the Peninsula Daily News the ribs in the hull failed. The top portion of the boat also separated from the hull.
The Coast Guard rescued two people on board.
