MOUNT VERNON — A 65th minute penalty-kick goal by Tylor Adcock gave Kamiak a 2-1 lead and the Knights held on to earn their seventh win in a row over Wesco 4A opponent Mount Vernon.
“I’m super proud of the girls for stepping up with this win,” Kamiak head coach Beth Stewart said. “That’s big this late in the season.”
Alexie Morris put the Knights up 1-0 in the 58th minute, and Madeline Sisk tied the score at 1-1 for the Bulldogs just three minutes later.
Kamiak is now tied with Snohomish for second place in the Wesco 4A standings.
