LYNNWOOD — Snohomish County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a homicide suspect Saturday after a manhunt in the Lynnwood area.
Encarnacion “EJ” Salas, 23, was located after deputies received a tip that he might be hiding in an apartment in the 3300 block of 164th Street SW in Lynnwood, three blocks from the site of the crime.
Salas was located and arrested at 2:15 p.m. for investigation of second-degree murder.
Salas allegedly assaulted a 42-year-old man at about 11:30 p.m. Friday. The man died at the 3000 block of 164th Street SW, sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
The investigation is continuing.
