The Snohomish County Mycological Society will be talking mushrooms on Sunday, Oct. 26.
Not really the kind you find in the produce section. These are the wild ones you’ll probably find on a hike somewhere deep in the Northwest woods. The SCMS is hosting its annual Mushroom Show today at 10 a.m. at Floral Hall at Forest Park. Mushroom neophytes can learn how to identify more than 100 different types of mushrooms or bring their own discoveries for identification. Admission is free and there will be vendors, lectures and demonstrations involving the fungus.
