It’s time to vote. In the 39th Legislative District the choice is between Elizabeth Scott or Charles Jensen. Elizabeth Scott moved to the 39th a little over two years ago. A tea party favorite, she moved to a district that she might have a chance to win. However, she represents all of the people of the 39th. She voted no on transportation, including funding for U.S. 2. She voted no on education funding, even though some of the poorest districts are in the 39th. She failed to show up at any U.S. 2 commission meeting. She even voted no to make marital rape a felony. And she was the only one to vote no. Not one Republican joined her in that vote.
Charles Jensen has lived in the 39th district for 18 years. He’s a veteran of the Air Force. He knows how to work with other people of different backgrounds and points of views for a greater cause. He’s a Job Corps teacher. He’s seen firsthand the kids who have fallen through the cracks and he works to get them turned around and get the skills to get a job. These kids come from all different backgrounds. He’s a gun owner and no intention of taking away anyone’s guns.
The 39th needs someone who can represent all of the people and not just the tea party. Vote for Charles Jensen. Vote for a voice of common sense.
