Prep cross boys country: Wesco Championships

LAKEWOOD — Jackson, Arlington and Glacier Peak all came away winners in the boys race Saturday at the Wesco Cross Country Championships at Lakewood High School.

Jackson’s Aaron Roe took first place with a time of 15 minutes, 57 seconds in the Wesco 4A race to lead the Timberwolves to the team title. Jackson finished with 38 points. Snohomish was second with 44.

Snohomish’s Brad Hodkinson placed second (16:14) and Kamiak’s Cullen McEachern was third (16:24).

In the Wesco 3A North race, Arlington’s Nathan Beamer (16:14) and Pieter Andrews (17:05) took second and third places to lead the Eagles to the team title. Arlington placed seven runners in the top 10 and finished with 20 points. Oak Harbor was second with 55.

Oak Harbor runner John Rodeheffer placed first in 16:03.

In the Wesco 3A South race, Garren Arnold was the top runner for Glacier Peak. He placed third in 16:53 to help the Grizzlies win the team title with 32 points. Miler Haller won the race for Edmonds-Woodway in 16:12.
