What: Marigold “Moonsong Deep Orange”
This annual is an outstanding fully double marigold that has a vibrant deep orange flower color. The All American Selection committee conferred its 2010 AAS Flower Award on this plant for several reasons: the blooms are fade resistant and it tolerates stress such as drought, heat, wind and rain. Although it is an annual, it blooms for many months, either in pots, baskets or directly in the garden. In arrangements, it adds a real punch of lasting color.
Sun or shade: Full sun is required for best coloration.
Size: The height ranges from 12 to 18 inches.
See it: In the All American Selection Garden within the WSU Snohomish County Master Gardener Demonstration Garden at Jennings Memorial Park, 6915 Armar Road, Marysville.
