STANWOOD — Stanwood had a chance to tie the game with just over two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, but a blocked extra point by Edmonds-Woodway preserved a one-point lead and the Warriors held on to defeat the Spartans in a Wesco 3A crossover game.
Chantz Justice rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown for the Warriors, and Chad Niven completed 11 of 16 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns for the Spartans.
