Weekend best bets: Disney on Ice, Oddmall, theater and more

On ice: See princes, princesses and more when Disney on Ice comes to Everett through Sunday. The show is a celebration of holidays around the world. Get more info in our story here.

On the stage: This is the last weekend to catch “In the Heights” at Village Theatre and “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz: A New Musical” at Historic Everett Theatre. Get more info on “In the Heights” here and the “Wizard of Oz” here.

Oddmall: Check out the unusual and bizarre at Oddmall this weekend. What’s Oddmall? “It’s part art show, part craft show, part nerd fest,” promoter David Hopp said. “It’s geeky, nerdy fun with no admission charge.” Get all the wacky details in our story here.

Drink: The Skagit Wine &Beer Festival is 4 p.m. Saturday at the Skagit Valley Inn and Convention Center, 2300 Market St., Mount Vernon. Tickets are $40 per person or $70 per couple. There will be more than 20 wineries, 12 breweries and eight distilleries on hand. For more information, go here.

Art: Sculptors Workshop presents a holiday pottery show from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Frances Anderson Center, 700 Dayton, Edmonds. The pottery cooperative’s 20 artists will be on hand. Pottery will be for sale.

Theatrical insanity: See the Glacier Peak Drama Club put on “The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza” on Friday and Saturday in Snohomish. It’s a bit hard to explain, so we’ll let them do it. “Two battling narrators attempt to cover the entirety of Greek mythology using audience participation, cross-dressing, and general theatrical insanity. … Culminating in a bizarre, musical dance-influenced version of The Iliad complete with a full-scale battle of little green army men, this play is wild, silly, and a complete blast for audiences.” Get more info and tickets here.

Shop: The Arlington Garden Club’s Holiday Garden Arts &Crafts Sale is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Gleneagle Golf Course Clubhouse, 7619 E. Country Club Dr., Arlington. There will be hand-made items available for sale, as well as food and drink. Get more info here.

Green: At 2 p.m. on Sunday, join Russ Holmes, retired forest service botanist, for a walk through Four Springs Lake Preserve trails to identify some of the common Camano mosses, lichens, liverworts and fungi. Dress in layers appropriate for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, bring a hand lens if you have one, and meet in the main parking lot, 585 Lewis Lane, Camono Island. No reservations required. No dogs allowed. Note: Strong winds may force this event to be canceled. Check here for status.
