Regarding the Nov. 12 Kid Scoop article on Remembering World War I in The Herald: I note one error, namely that of placing Italy on the side of Germany, Austria-Hungary and other members of the Central Powers during the war. As Wikipedia notes: Although The Kingdom of Italy had been nominally allied with the Central Powers, it refused to join them at the outset of the war. After procrastinating for nearly a year, Italy finally entered the war in 1915 on the side of the ultimately victorious allies — including Great Britain, France and later the United States.
