New hire, promotions at United Way of Snohomish County
United Way of Snohomish County has announced a new hire and several promotions. Betty Welsh was hired as a labor donor relations and community liaison manager. Jessica Gaitan was promoted to community engagement coordinator, Amy Franklin was promoted to senior manager of impact and community investment, Lark Kesterke was promoted to director of community initiatives and Katrina Ondracek was promoted to executive vice president.
Bee Haven to close after final open house
Bee Haven in Snohomish celebrates its 12th and final annual open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 28. After 15 years, the shop is closing. It features gift items including honey, candles, soap, hand cream and hand woven baskets. Homemade cookies and local hot spiced apple cider will be served. Bee Haven is located at 7914 69th Ave. SE.
Economic Alliance works to promote maritime industry
Economic Alliance Snohomish County is engaged with the newly formed Washington Maritime Federation in efforts to promote and grow the maritime industry in Washington. The first event for the Federation will be Maritime Day at the State Legislature in Olympia on January 20, 2015. New PSE app notifies about outages
Puget Sound Energy customers can now download a new outage reporting app. Even if the electricity is out at a customer’s home or business, they can still access the app to report outages, view a map of the outage area and learn the number of affected customers as well as see estimated power restoration times.
