In the spirit of the holiday season, and following the craziness of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday on Dec. 2 encourages consumers across the country to give back.
On a local level, this year you can help support stray and lost animals throughout Snohomish County by donating to the Animal Rescue Foundation of Everett (ARF). For years, ARF has supported the shelter by helping establish our unique on-site veterinary clinic and by covering critical medical expenses for shelter pets.
Our shelter is incredibly fortunate to have the support of ARF, and we’ve seen it make a huge difference in the lives of the animals we care for. Being able to do everything from routine screens to emergency surgeries on site at the shelter can give an animal a second chance at a healthy life – and get them ready to find their forever home.
And in cases where an animal needs additional care or the expertise of a specialist, ARF helps us cover the costs of outside care for our pets.
We are so grateful for the financial support that ARF provides for the shelter, and if our animals could talk, we know they would be, too.
Please take a minute next Tuesday to learn more about ARF and consider making a donation. Visit www.everettarf.org, call 425-257-6273 or meet the ARF team in person at the shelter between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The Everett Channel recently interviewed Amy Ferguson, executive director of ARF in Everett, about our fantastic partnership:
Just a friendly reminder: The shelter will be closed this Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
