Calvin Johnson became the fastest player in NFL history to reach 10,000 yards receiving with a big first half Thursday against the Chicago Bears.
Johnson had nine first-half catches for 109 yards and went over 10,000 yards receiving with a 9-yard curl late in the second quarter. He finished the game with 11 receptions for 146 yards.
Johnson, who entered the game with 9,906 yards receiving, topped the 10,000-yard mark in his 115th career game, one game fewer than Torry Holt. He had just nine catches total for 117 yards in the Lions’ last two games.
