Windermere Edmonds, partners collect 19,200 pounds of food
As a part of the Annual Realtor Food Drive in the month of October, Windermere Edmonds brokers, with the help of the community and a local partnership with Las Brisas Mexican Restaurant, raised a total of 19,200 pounds of food, through food and cash donations, that will benefit all Edmonds area food banks.
PCL Construction donates $10,000 for charity
PCL Construction’s Seattle buildings and civil groups have donated $5,000 each to Northwest Harvest Food Bank and Food Lifeline to support those in need. This is the sixth consecutive year the Seattle office has donated to these two food banks for a total of $60,000. The checks were presented on Nov. 20.
Alaska USA Federal Credit Union members raises $66,000 for food banks
Alaska USA Federal Credit Union members contributed more than $66,000 to support their community food banks during the annual Cash for Cans food drive. Washington branches collected $6,300, which will benefit Northwest Harvest in Seattle, Help House Food Bank in Oak Harbor and Hopelink in Redmond. Alaska USA Federal Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative.
Ribbon cutting for renamed retirement home
Brookdale Mill Creek, formerly Emeritus at Mill Creek, is having a ribbon cutting ceremony and an open house on Dec. 18. The ceremony is at 1:45 p.m. immediately followed by the open house from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. There will be tours and free refreshments. Brookdale Mill Creek is at 14905 Bothell-Everett Highway in Mill Creek.
