Well, the roller coaster ride continues for the Silvertips.
Everett swept this weekend’s three games against Prince George and Kamloops, meaning once again Everett’s fortunes resemble an EKG reading. This three-game winning streak follows a five-game losing streak, which in turn followed a stretch of 11 wins in 13 games, etc., etc., etc. Consistency has been one of Everett’s biggest issues all season long, and the recent trend doesn’t give any indication that problem has been solved.
So what doe this mean? Does it mean the Tips are one of those talented-but-unmotivated veteran teams that will finally turn it on in the playoffs when the games really mean something, ala Prince George last season? Or are they just an average team that’s taken advantage of a schedule in which the bottom feeders seem to be grouped together? Is it something else entirely?
Frankly, I’m not sure what to think. So I’m interested in finding out your thoughts and opinions on Everett’s ups and downs this season. It’s time to give the comments section a bit of a workout, and I’ll join in on the conversation as best as I can.
