Sparling in Lynnwood hires three
Sparling welcomed three new support staff members to its Lynnwood office — Laurie Miyatake as senior project accountant, Ehab Habib as information technology specialist, and Kelsi Seidlitz as CAD/Revit specialist. Miyatake has more than 13 years of experience. Habib has more than six years of experience. Seidlitz has four years of engineering and technical experience.
Canyon Creek Cabinet employees donate to Sky Valley Food Bank
Just before Thanksgiving, the employees of Canyon Creek Cabinet Company in Monroe donated a barrel of food and $1,845 in cash to the Sky Valley Food Bank as part of their annual company food drive. For more than 14 years, Canyon Creek has been one of the food bank’s largest contributors at the beginning of the holiday season.
E-Cycle surpasses 250 million pounds of electronics
E-Cycle reached a milestone in November as Washington’s statewide electronics recycling program passed 250 million pounds of TVs, computers and other electronics collected since starting in 2009. Over the past six years, Washington residents have turned in more than 5.4 million electronic devices. Electronic items contain toxic heavy metals such as lead, mercury and cadmium, and should not go to a landfill.
