If you ski or snowboard, a helmet could save your life in the case of a bad crash.
You can get a helmet for only $25, thanks to Lake Stevens Fire and Safe Kids Snohomish County.
The purchase of the helmet includes a custom fitting. Sizes should fit young children through most adults.
To purchase a ski helmet, contact Lake Stevens Fire at 425-334-3034 to set up an appointment. The person for whom the helmet is intended must be present at the time of the purchase and fitting.
“The helmets, provided by Safe Kids Snohomish County, are of equal quality to the helmets found in specialty stores, for a fraction of the cost and come with lined padding and ear covers. The cost of the helmet allows us to restock another helmet so we can continue to offer this service throughout the winter months. Neither Lake Stevens Fire nor Safe Kids Snohomish County profits from the cost,” Lake Stevens Fire said in a press release.
