SEATTLE — Shots were fired Wednesday morning near an elementary school in south Seattle.
The students at Emerson elementary were sheltered briefly while officers searched the Rainier Beach neighborhood. They found shell casings about a block from the school but no victims.
Witnesses saw two cars flee the scene.
Police don’t believe anyone at the school was a targeted but officers have increased patrols in the area.
