The Seattle Sounders lost two players and gained none Thursday in the Major League Soccer re-entry draft.
The Sounders passed with their pick, the 16th overall.
However, with the next selection, the New England Revolution took Seattle forward Tristan Bowen. With the final selection of the first round, Orlando City selected Sounders reserve goalkeeper Josh Ford.
A total of eight players were taken. In addition to the selected Sounders, Bakary Soumare went to Montreal, Marvell Wynne and Sanna Nyassi to San Jose, Chandler Hoffman and Nathan Sturgis to Houston, and Atiba Harris to Dallas.
Nyassi and Sturgis are former Sounders.
The re-entry draft allows teams to select players whose contracts have expired or whose options were declined by their current teams
