Bartell Drugs is issuing a voluntary recall for Emerald &Spruce, its private label ice cream produced by Snoqualmie Gourmet Ice Cream. The ice cream products have been removed from store shelves at all 63 Bartell Drugs locations in Snohomish, King and Pierce counties.

Stating all of their products “have the potential” to be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes, Snoqualmie Gourmet Ice Cream issued a recall of all ice cream, gelato, custard and sorbet for all flavors and sizes it produced on or after Jan. 1, 2014 and before Dec. 1, 2014. Though no bacteria was found in the product, it was found in a room that manufacturers the ice cream.

Customers who have purchased the Emerald &Spruce ice cream products may return the product to their local Bartell Drugs location for a full refund.
