BRYANT — Friends and family took in an Arlington-area woman after her house caught fire on Christmas.
The fire was reported about 9 p.m. Thursday at the home along 296th Street NE, in the Bryant area, said Joel Smith, a battalion chief with the North County Regional Fire Authority.
The house sustained significant damage, Smith said. The fire’s cause was under investigation but early information indicated it likely was started by a candle.
The woman was displaced from her home. Her age wasn’t available Friday. Crews also responded from the Silvana, Arlington Rural and Marysville fire departments.
