Camano Center’s New Year’s Eve Black &White Ball, 8 p.m. to midnight, Dec. 31, at the center, 606 Arrowhead Road, Camano Island. Camano Junction will play big band music. Cost is $25. The ticket includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and a champagne toast. Call 360-387-0222 for reservations.
Historic Everett Theatre New Year’s Eve Party, 7 p.m. to midnight, Dec. 31 at the theater, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. Guitarist Randy Hansen has been added to the show, which features Medicine Hat. Hansen plans an acoustic set. Tickets are $30 or two for $50. Those age 18 and younger admitted free.
Seattle Symphony’s New Year’s Eve Concert, Countdown and Celebration, 9 p.m. Dec. 31, Benaroya Hall, 200 University St., Seattle. Information and tickets at www.seattlesymphony.org or 206-215-4747. Matthew Halls conducts Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with Rena Harms, soprano; Deborah Nansteel, mezzo-soprano; Eric Neuville, tenor; Morgan Smith, baritone; and the Seattle Symphony Chorale. The evening opens with Mozart’s Symphony No. 31 “Paris” and closes with a post-concert live band show, dancing and the countdown to midnight.
New Year’s Eve Under the Arches, Pacific Science Center’s annual New Year’s Eve party, 8:30 p.m. Dec. 31 to 2 a.m., Seattle Center. For those age 21 and older. Sip on bubbly handed to you by an aerialist hanging from a chandelier of champagne. Discover the science of the spherical with live science demonstrations. Party favors, photo booth and the musical musings of KEXP’s top disc jockeys. Top it all off with a toast under the arches and an unobstructed view of the fireworks at the Space Needle.
