GRANITE FALLS — An avalanche trapped two people in the Big Four Ice Caves on Saturday, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
Several search-and-rescue and other emergency response units were dispatched to the site on Mountain Loop Highway late in the afternoon when the slide was reported.
However, the two people trapped in the avalanche got out by themselves before emergency responders arrived. No injuries were reported, according to the sheriff’s office.
