As I stroll down the streets of Mill Creek’s Town Center, I also go down memory lane and wish once again to thank our then highly praised city Community Development Director Bill Trimm for making the Town Center happen! I am pleased to say at the time of Bill’s vision I was a planning commissioner and had the pleasure to work with this highly capable land use manager. Bill had more than his share of challenges, but due to Bill’s diverse abilities and knowledge, he was able to ward off distractions and continue to focus on making Mill Creek become a major shopping destination.
During my Town Center Christmas shopping sprees I often thought that for the current record I should make sure his leadership, knowledge, political and management skills and his dream of having a Town Center is not lost in our city’s history.
Thank you to Mr. Trimm for what he has done for the city and for his excellent land management input as a member of the state commission that studied and came up with recommendations in the aftermath of the Oso mudslide tragedy! His service for the “general good” is greatly appreciated.
