PULLMAN — DaVonte Lacy led four Washington State players in double figures with 22 points in a 90-83 victory over UC Davis on Sunday.
Josh Hawkinson had 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Cougars, who evened their record at 6-6 heading into Pac-12 Conference play. Que Johnson added 14 points, and Jordan Railey had 12.
Corey Hawkins led UC Davis (9-2) with 29 points, six rebounds, six assists and five steals. The Aggies trailed by double figures most of the game after missing 13 of their first 16 shots.
The Cougars sank 11 of their first 19 shots, including 7 of 9 from 3-point range, to lead 30-8 after 13 minutes.
UC Davis, ranked 12th nationally in field goal percentage through Saturday, finished strong in both halves to shoot 55.9 percent (56.3 on 3-pointers). WSU hit 54.4 percent, including 11 of 19 from 3-point range.
