SEATTLE — Kelsey Plum scored 26 points, half of them from the free throw line, to lead Washington to a 63-51 win over Utah on Sunday.
Chantel Osahor added 11 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, and grabbed nine rebounds for Washington (16-4, 5-3 Pac-12), which shot 34 percent from the floor on 56 attempts and never trailed.
Washington opened with a 19-4 burst capped by Katie Collier’s bucket to build its largest lead of the day with 12:31 to go before the break. Utah then ripped out 13 unanswered points to cut the gap to two before Plum quelled the rally with a 3-pointer at the other end. That ignited a 12-4 run that stretched Washington’s advantage to 31-21 at the break. The margin never tightened below seven points the rest of the way.
Tanaeya Boclair led Utah (6-13, 0-8) with 14 points and Cheyenne Wilson added 13 points.
