The Silvertips just completed an epic stretch during which 12 of their 14 games were on the road. That included both of Everett’s annual long road trips, one to the East Division and one to Prince George.
Before the stretch the Tips were in first place in the U.S. Division, but their lead had shrunk to three points over Spokane following six weeks of below-.500 play. Just before the road stretch began I wrote about how those 14 games could be the make-or-break part of Everett’s season.
The Tips ended up going 9-5 in those 14 games. Everett lost the first two and last two (all road games), then went 9-1 in between. The Tips’ lead in the division is now five points over Portland.
