EVERETT — A retired Everett firefighter who was charged with a sex crime in 2014 now has had his paramedic license pulled.
The state health department suspended the license for David “Pete” Vier, 60, citing the criminal charges, according to a Tuesday news release.
Vier was arrested in November when Seattle police set up a sting, posing as a father selling his 15-year-old daughter online. Vier agreed to pay $150 for sex with the girl and requested contact with other teen girls, prosecutors allege.
After his arrest, Vier retired from the Everett Fire Department, ending a 25-year career. Public records show that for years, he had caused headaches for his bosses. He had been accused multiple times of stalking ex-partners, once with a secret GPS device.
He is free on bail, charged in King County with attempted commercial sexual abuse of a minor.
Vier cannot practice as a paramedic in Washington until after his criminal case is resolved.
