CLEARVIEW — Police and medics were called to a Snohomish-area home on Friday after a man reportedly accidentally shot himself.
The shooting was reported at 1:20 p.m. along James Street in the Clearview area south of Snohomish.
Police were told the man, 51, was carrying a pistol in his waistband when it accidentally discharged into his abdomen, Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said.
The man was conscious and was being checked over by medics. Crews remained on scene as of 1:45 p.m. No additional information was immediately available.
