COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Blue Jackets activated defenseman Ryan Murray off injured reserve on Friday and assigned right wing Josh Anderson to their American Hockey League affiliate in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Murray, a former Everett Silvertip, missed 36 games because of a knee injury.
The 21-year-old Murray, the No. 2 pick overall in the 2013 NHL draft, also missed the first seven games of the season because of offseason knee surgery. He has four goals, 17 assists and a plus-4 plus/minus rating in 66 career games.
The 20-year-old Anderson made his NHL debut on Jan. 16 and picked up an assist for his first NHL point on Thursday night at Florida.
