Locals among WSSCA All-State Soccer teams

The Washington State Soccer Coaches Association has announced its All-State Girls Soccer teams from this past fall season. All-State teams for Boys 2B/1B were also announced.

Several local players were selected to squads, including Edmonds-Woodway’s Madison Schultz, who was named the state’s 3A MVP in addition to being named to the first team as a forward, and Bill LeCompte, her head coach. The combo helped lead the Warriors to the state championship in November.

Schultz’s teammate, goalkeeper Kiera Towell, was named a first-team goalkeeper.

Jackson’s Drew Locknane was named to the 4A second team as a forward and her teammate Lynnae George was named a second-team defender.

Shorewood’s Olivia Hollenbeck was named a 3A second-team defender. Shorecrest’s Sophia Viviano was named a 2A first-team forward and Archbishop Murphy’s Brooke Richardson was named to the second team as a defender. Jubilee Zevenbergen of King’s was named to the 1A first team as a forward. She was joined on the first team by two teammates, Heidi Fronk, who was named to the first team as a midfielder and Anna Parker, who made it as a defender. Two other King’s players, Anisa Uberuaga (forward) and Madeline Nielson (goalkeeper), were named to the second team.

Providence Classical Christian’s Cole Butaud (forward) and Matthew Moisant (midfielder) and Grace Academy’s Jeremiah Lee (midfielder) were named to the 2B/1B boys first team. PCC’s Joe Moisant made the second team as a midfielder.

Several other locals were given honorable mention.
