Four players were fined for their roles in the scuffle at the end of the Super Bowl, including Seahawks Bruce Irvin ($10,000) and Michael Bennett ($8,268), who were both fined for “unnecessarily striking an opponent.” New England’s Rob Gronkowski and Michael Hoomanawanui were both fined $8,268 as well, Gronkowski for striking an opponent and Hoomanawanui for ripping an opponent’s helmet off. Irvin was also ejected for his role in the altercation.
A league spokesman also confirmed that Doug Baldwin was fined $11,025 for an obscene gesture on his touchdown celebration.
