Speakers will discuss early childhood education and you can check out local schools. Get more info here.

R&B: R. Kelly’s personal life has been controversial almost as long as he’s been a star. Get more info and check out other upcoming shows in our story here.

Guided walk: Friends of Camano Island Parks offer a guided walk at 9:50 a.m. Saturday at the Camano Ridge Forest Preserve. Wear appropriate clothes and sturdy shoes or boots. No dogs. Meet at 9:50 a.m. at the Camano Multipurpose Center (blue building), 141 N East Camano Drive. Trail booklets and maps will be available at the walk for a suggested $1 donation.

Please touch: A new art exhibit at Edmonds Community College is hands-on. Indeed, all of the art in a new exhibit, “Please Touch,” at Edmonds Community College’s art gallery should be touched, artist Jim Ballard said. The show includes wall panels of paper embossments illustrating star constellations, the profiles of birds, snowflake shapes and various surface textures of lakes and oceans. There are also stone and bronze sculptures. Get more info in our story here.
