EVERETT — Two missing Snohomish girls who left their homes last month have been found in Tacoma.
Samantha Eldredge and Keyanna Monson, both 16, initially were reported home with their families on Sunday morning. However, the girls are instead at “a safe location where they will receive the support they need,” according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
They had been missing since Jan. 28 and were found as the result of a joint investigation involving the FBI, Tacoma police and the sheriff’s office, sheriff’s Lt. Rodney Rochon said.
“The girls were located together. No arrests have been made,” he said in a prepared statement. “Due to the complexity of the investigation and necessary coordination between the agencies there are no further details available at this time.”
The sheriff’s office last week asked the public’s help in finding the pair. They feared for the girls’ safety.
“To protect the privacy of the victims as they are minors and the integrity of the investigation, this is all that will be discussed at this time,” Rochon added.
