GRANITE FALLS — The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash on Mountain Loop Highway that killed a 43-year-old Arlington man Friday.
The first call reporting the crash came in about 12:54 p.m., said Sheriff’s Office Lt. Norm Link.
Sheriff’s deputies found a vehicle with a single occupant off to the side of the highway near Masonic Family Park, about 3.5 miles east of Granite Falls. The vehicle had hit a power pole when it left the roadway.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was not clear exactly when the crash occurred, Link said.
The make and model of vehicle, and which direction it had been traveling, were likewise unavailable, Link said.
The investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
