“Death By Chocolate”: The farce-noir murder mystery by Craig Sodaro is onstage Feb. 20 to March 8 by the Edmonds Driftwood Players at Wade James Theater, 950 Main St., Edmonds. Nick Noir, private eye, has fallen on hard times. His last botched case has cost him whatever jobs may have come his way — he may even be forced to fire his devoted secretary. Then Vinnie the Leech falls over dead at Precious Perks Coffee Shoppe, poisoned by their signature drink.

Agatha Christie’s “Spider’s Web”: Red Curtain presents the murder mystery Feb. 20 through March 1 at the Red Curtain Arts Center, 1410 Grove St., Marysville. Performances are 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, 2 p.m. Sunday. Clarissa, the second wife of Henry Hailsham-Brown, is adept at spinning tales of adventure for their bored diplomatic circle. When a murder takes place in her drawing room she finds live drama much harder to cope with, especially as she suspects the murderer might be her young stepdaughter, Pippa.

Steam Powered Giraffe: Mime, music, “robots” and vaudeville are at the heart of this imaginative act, 7 p.m. Feb. 27 and 28, the Historic Everett Theatre, 2911 Colby Ave., Everett. For tickets, call 425-258-6766.

“A Little Misunderstanding”: Everett’s Reunion Theatre production, scheduled for Feb. 27 through March 25 at Soundgate’s Everett Music Hall, has been canceled. Call 425-268-2187 for refund information.

“Evil Twin”: The dark comedy by Everett Community College instructor Beth Peterson debuts with a six-performance run at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 26 through 28 and March 5 through 7 In EvCC’s Baker Hall, room 120.

“Other Desert Cities”: Whidbey Island Center for the Arts’ production opens Feb. 13 and runs through Feb. 28. The story involves a family with differing political views, a long-held family secret and humility. Shows are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays. Rodgers &Hammerstein’s “Carousel”: 5th Avenue Theatre brings the classic musical to the stage through March 1, 1308 Fifth Ave., Seattle. “The Vetiginous Thrill of Forsythe”: Pacific Northwest Ballet becomes the first major American dance company to present a program devoted entirely to the work of acclaimed choreographer William Forsythe. Flagg is a standup comedian, radio host, TV personality and comedy writer known for his quick wit and keen and often strange observations. Jubal currently hosts “Brooke and Jubal in the Morning” on MOViN 92.5 in Seattle.
