The Feb. 16 letter asks, “When do you want the light?” Much depends on whether one is a morning person or one who functions better at a later hour. Resetting all one’s time pieces with the “spring forward, fall back” is a nuisance when one includes the microwave, the range, wristwatches, car clock and others. I prefer staying on one pattern all year round — standard or daylight saving time.
Another factor that affects one’s opinion is where one lives. Everett is at 47.59 N latitude. Everett is far enough north to make me avoid early start times such as church services.
