SEATTLE — Seattle’s Police Chief has announced a new leadership team.
Chief Kathleen O’Toole says on the agency’s website that she has picked two assistant chiefs from within the department and two from outside to serve on her command staff. The overhaul is O’Toole’s most significant personnel move since she became chief in June.
O’Toole and Mayor Ed Murray are introducing the team on Wednesday.
Lesley Cordner and Steve Wilske, both veterans of the Seattle Police Department, will join the command staff.
Meanwhile, Robert Merner comes from the Boston Police Department’s Investigative Bureau and Perry Tarrant recently served as coordinator for the City of Yakima’s gang-free initiative.
A former Amazon executive, Greg Russell, also will become the new chief information officer.
