What: Podocarpus “Nivalis”
Also known as Alpine Totara, Podocarpus is native to New Zealand. A stunning evergreen groundcover, it has long green needles and is drought tolerant. Its habit is to grow horizontally which works well in the front of the border, or in a rock garden where it can be allowed to cascade over the edge.
Sun or shade: It will thrive in either sun or shade.
Size: Typically grows to 3 feet tall and 5 feet wide in 10 years.
