In response to Eugene Robinson’s question about Hillary Clinton, “Why does she act as if she has something to hide, even when she doesn’t?” Does he really need to ask that when he said there is still “Benghazi fever” among Republicans and now they’re pulling apart the Clinton Foundation to see if there’s anything there they can use against her? These attacks go all the way back to her proposal for health care during her husband’s first term.
In response to Hillary’s explanation about her emails at a Tuesday news conference, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said, Hillary “should have apologized for putting our national security at risk for ‘convenience.’” He overlooked her statement that the email server had numerous safeguards and was protected by the Secret Service. Our national security wasn’t in any way at risk, but that didn’t stop him from making a wild accusation.
Hillary has spoken out many times for the rights of women and girls but there are men in the Republican party who, because they believe their rights and privileges should be protected at all costs, are adamantly opposed to a woman having the power to implement a different agenda. Just as they have rigorously opposed Obama’s social values. It’s no wonder to me if Hillary acts in ways to protect her time, energy and personal privacy.
