All right, Street Smarts readers. I need your help. An insurance company poll claims Northwest drivers are particularly in love with bumper stickers, with 1 in 4 of us using our vehicle as our own personal pep rally (or soapbox, as the case may be).
So in preparation for a separate blog entry on this topic, I’m looking for some Snohomish County examples.
Send me:
1. A photo of the back of your stickerfied vehicle. Zombie family? 12th Fan? We want to see it. How many do you have? Is the goal to shout your views, or is this just an alternative to Bondo?
2. A close-up photo of a favorite bumper sticker — on your own vehicle or one you’ve spotted on someone else’s. It can be funny, it can be serious. Unique is best. Nothing crude or overtly offensive, y’all.
3. Your answers to these questions: Do you drive more politely around other drivers when you agree with their bumper stickers? Are you more rude when you disagree?
Send examples to streetsmarts@heraldnet.com by March 20.
Please include your first and last name, your hometown, your age and gender (not for publication), where you spotted the bumper sticker, and if it’s your own vehicle. All those useful details. Extra points for the make and model of the car.
Then watch the blog for a round-up…
