BOTHELL — Dalan Blade and Burlington-Edison got the most of Archbishop Murphy in its inaugural boys high school lacrosse game as the Tigers handed the Wildcats a 14 – 6 defeat, Tuesday, at Tambark Creek Park in Bothell.
The running start senior attackman connected for six goals as Burlington-Edison built a 6 – 3 lead at the half then added three in the third and seven down the stretch for the opening night win.
Burlington-Edison scoring was rounded out by Connor McCandless with four goals. The two were among six Tigers to score in the win.
Archbishop Murphy was led by sophomore attackmen Joseph Doyle and Maverick Barela, each with two goals and midfielder Bennet Duffy, also a sophomore with two goals.
Burlington-Edison (1-0-0) next faces Kamiak, Friday, March 20 in a 7:30 p.m. start at Mariner High School in Everett. Archbishop Murphy (0-1-0) next faces Lynden, Friday, March 20 in a 5 p.m. start at Bender Fields in Lynden.
